Dr. Catherine Kotz
Dr. Catherine Kotz is a 2005 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina Dental School. She graduated at the top of her class and was awarded membership to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, our nation’s dental honor society. In 2006, Dr. Kotz completed a year residency at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. She remained in Boston for another year and worked in a general dental office near Boston, MA. Then, Dr. Kotz and her husband, Jeff, moved to his hometown of Tallahassee, FL, for three years.
Jeff and Catherine decided they missed the Lowcountry too much, and they headed back to the Charleston area in 2011 to make it their home.
Dr. Kotz began working at East Cooper Dental with Dr. Jim Warner in the summer of 2011. She loves helping people achieve a healthy smile and loves the wonderful patients she meets every day at ECD. Dr. Kotz works in the mornings at East Cooper Dental and spends the afternoons chasing after her two energetic her two little boys, Clayton (5) and Bentham (3).
When she is not working, Dr. Kotz likes to spend her time outdoors running, biking, attempting surfing, and, of course, enjoying the beautiful beaches.
